Bonaire is considered to provide the finest snorkeling and
scuba diving in the Caribbean. Because the waters around the
island are legally protected as a marine park, there is a stunning
array of coral reefs and marine life. Its leeward coastline,
24 miles long and five miles wide, offers spectacular shore
diving, with over fifty sites to choose from. Boat dives from
Klein Bonaire give divers a break from the physical exertion
of shore diving. Bonaire is also a favorite destination for
bird watchers, a safe haven where over 170 species of birds
can be seen.
