is the latest in the sistership tradition started by the ms Volendam,
although there are subtle differences to accommodate the popular veranda
staterooms. There are 168 mini-suites and 28 - 365 sf. suites all
with verandas. The 946 sf. penthouse houses many of the ship's most
spectacular pieces of art. The ship went into service August 2000.
The predominant theme in the decor is centered around the music theme
anchored by a computer controlled dutch pipe organ in the atrium.
The layout and public rooms are similar to the ms Volendam with subtle
changes to, in the designer's words 'put the passengers in touch with
the sea'. About the Passengers: Middle-aged and older couples who appreciate solid quality in food, surroundings and service, although childrens' programs make the cruises a worthwhile experience for families. |
