| Legend
of the Seas is packed with an endless supply of entertainment and
relaxation options. She lives up to her name with gorgeous colors,
rich woods, and shiny marble gracing her public rooms in muted soft
tones. The floor to ceiling glass panels in the Centrum provide spectacular
views of the sea on sunny days. The Viking Crown Lounge, which sits
atop the ship is popular with the late night crowd and a great place
to watch the ship come into port. The Anchor's Aweigh Lounge, located
at the stern, is the ship's secondary performance venue offering up
live music and dancing most nights of the cruise. An Internet lounge
offers real-time access to the Web 24/7. The room is beautifully designed
with three "stations" of four terminals apiece and bordered
by floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the ocean and the top-most
part of the Centrum. The 150 sf bottom-end cabins are not palatial
but comfortable and practical with televisions, phones, hairdryers,
safes and toiletries. There are no self-serve laundry rooms. The 802
seat Royal Legend's "That's Entertainment" theater is functional
and well designed with good sightlines from either the main floor
or balcony. The central outdoor area has a large, heated pool surrounded
by four hot tubs. Toward the stern is the Solarium with a secondary
pool and another two hot tubs. This area is covered by a retractable
glass dome. Legend has an adequate gym and an extensive children's
program for kids from three through seventeen. Royal Caribbean is
not renowned for its food but it is hearty and plentiful. Vegetarian
options are provided on every menu. |
