Anguilla's remoteness has helped to preserve its beauty. The
only way to get to this island in the West Indies is by commuter
plane from St. Maarten, St. Thomas, or San Juan. The rich
and famous come here for privacy and a carefree, relaxed holiday.
The island has pristine white-sand beaches on the warm, crystalline
turquoise waters of the Caribbean, whose coral reefs offer
excellent snorkeling and scuba diving. After a day of sun
and surf, and watersports like windsurfing and boating, there
are many fine restaurants to satisfy the appetite.
