SilverSea Ships
Silversea ships carry between 296 to 388 passengers and are designed to incorporate the very best elements of first class cruising: open, single seating dining in The Restaurant (the main dining room), Saletta, La Terrazza (indoor/outdoor café), a Pool Grillé, plus 24-hour in-suite dining are offered. An elaborate show lounge (an element missing on other small luxury ships)for nightly entertainment, an Italian crew and European staff; exquisite decor; superb service and cuisine; and luxurious all suite accommodations, 75 percent featuring private verandas.
Silver Cloud and Silver Wind are sister ships built in 1994 and 1995. They are 16800 tons in size, carry an Italian Crew of 210 which cater to 260 guests. The ships offer six different types of suites, ranging in size from almost 250 square feet to over 1,300. Each suite is decorated in hushed pastels and warm hues displaying a rare degree of finesse and refinement and every suite features a marbled bath with a full-sized tub. They are described as intimate, elegant, warm, comfortable and eminently refined, yet with relaxed luxury.
Silver Shadow and Silver Whisper are also sister ships. Silver Shadow the first of these spectacular new ships was launched in September 2000, followed by sister ship Silver Whisper in July, 2001. These new ships sparkle with promise and delicious details that you expect in first class cruising. They are slightly larger at 25000 tons but also carry an Italian Crew of 295 catering to 388 guests. Beautifully appointed, every suite features a marbled bathroom with double vanity, full-sized bathtub and separate shower. In all there are seven different types of suites ranging in size from 287 square feet to over 1,400. Most suites, with the exception of the Vista suites have a teak deck balcony.
